Te Aho Matua o Ngā Kura Kaupapa Māori

Ko Te Aho Matua tō mātou tūāpapa, tō mātou marautanga, tō mātou tāhuhu o te Whare Aho Matua.

Ko Kahurangi Te Heikōkō Mataira tētahi o ngā ringa i whaongia tēnei kaupapa. Ko rātou ko Papa Pita Sharples, ko Tuki Nepia, ko Toni Waho, ko Pem Bird, ko Takuta Linda Smith, ko Ahorangi Graham Smith, ko Kōkā Kathy Dewes, ko Rahera Shortland te ohu tuatahi i wānanga ai i te āhuatanga o ngā Kura Kaupapa Māori.

Mei kore ko rātou

Te Aho Matua is our foundation, our curriculum and the back bone of our extensive Aho Matua whānau.

Dame Katerina Te Heikōkō Mataira was one of the authors alongside Dr Pita Sharples, Tuki Nepia, Toni Wano, Pem Bird, Dr Linda Smith, Prof. Graham Smith, Aunty Kathy Dewes and Kui Rahera Shortland as the group who first gathered to discuss and define what Kura Kaupapa Māori would look like.

We are forever thankful to you all.
